Summer Fun

The kids have still been going to the Home Depot Project the first weekend of the month when we are able to. This last month they made bug cages.  They loved catching bugs to put in it.  I guess there's a pretty funny story of Mimi running down the street after a grasshopper!

 Colin had SOOO much fun playing summer soccer.  His coach was great. He kept the kids in line well, on track with what was going on.  He really rewarded Colin for his hard work on the field.   

This next video is a little "BLURLY".  Try not to watch it, you'll get dizzy, but listen to Audrey, it's so cute! She loves taking videos and pictures lately.

Audrey really wanted to play this summer so we put her in too. She did awesome at the skills/practice day but when it came to a bunch of kids screaming on the field and fighting over the same ball....she wanted nothing to do with it.  She's really good at it when she plays daddy and Colin but right now the sport is not for her.

Happy 4th Birthday Audrey

We decided this year to do a party at a "play place" and not take on as much work on our own as we did for Colin's birthday.  There are a ton of places around here that do parties but some of them can be really expensive, or you could only have a small number of kids.  We decided we really liked Classic Fun Center and how they did their parties.  On Saturday mornings they are only open for birthday parties for kids under 8 years old.  Audrey decided she wanted a "Frozen" party(of course!) and invited all the kids in her class.  We ended up having 18 kids!  They were able to skate, play arcade games, do the bouncy houses, the jungle gym and also the blast zone(shooting nerf balls through rockets at each other).  The kids all seemed to have a great time, a lot of the adults did too!

Autographs!

Last time when we went to Disneyland, Bobby bought the kids autograph books for the characters. We were only there one day that time so didn't really have the opportunity to try to meet characters.  Audrey found her book before we left home and she was really excited to take it. Meeting characters and getting autographs was her favorite part of the trip. Sometimes she was a little nervous and wanted our help going up to them but once they signed her book they were her best friend.  She loved it.  

The first characters they met were Dug and Russel from Up.

Audrey loved the characters so much that I decided to take her to a princess lunch so she could meet the princesses.  She wasn't feeling the greatest this day and it shows in the pics. But she loved it.  She didn't understand why Ariel wasn't sitting at our table though.

When we got home we got all these pictures developed and put them in her book with the autographs.  She loves it!
