Father's Day and Lagoon

We had a lot of fun on Father's day at the park. We all went on a family bike ride and then flew kites.  We had a picnic, played frisbee, and just played on the playground and swings.

In June, we also went to Lagoon for a Promise Family Day.  The kids loved it!

The bumper cars were a hit

That night we headed up to the Snowbird Cool Air Concert with Tara and Ben

July 4th 2014

We had a lot of fun celebrating July 4th this year. I was able to get off of work and it was fun that it was on Friday and we didn't have to worry about work the next day.

I showed my mom my July 4th Pinterest board and she took my ideas and did some creative things with the kids for the holiday
Breakfast

We went to the Granite community parade and carnival again. The kids have so much fun with it.

They were so excited to have some treats that they even shared!

More Pinterest ideas! The table looked so cute!

Yummy corn on the cob!

Tara and Ben came over for dinner and brought the four wheelers. The kids had a blast.

We stayed up late enough to do some fire works and sparklers in the dark

Go Pro

Thanks to Jen and Jason, we got a Go Pro for Christmas.  Paul has been having a lot of fun learning how to use it and testing it out while skiing.  Here's a couple videos of our first times out using it.

Halloween 2013

We had a lot of fun this Halloween season.  The kids loved doing pumpkins and had multiple parties to go to.  Halloween day was a fun and exhausting one!
Pumpkins!

Last year after Halloween, I bought these potato head pumpkin kits for a couple dollars.  They were really cute.

July 4th!

What a day July 4th was!!  I got up early and went to the gym.  I finished working out and was at work at 630 am.  We rushed to get the patients seen that really needed to be seen so we could get out in time to make it home to parades with our kids.  Paul has taken the kids to the Granite Parade in our neighborhood the past couple of years and I've always been working.  We made it work this year to make sure I could be there too.

The kids had so much fun at the parade.  First, it was hot!  So hot!!  The parade is pretty much our neighbor's in decorated cars or kids on bikes throwing candy.   The kids love it!

The parade started with a firetruck and police on motorcycles and Audrey thought it was too loud!

After the parade we walk over to the church parking lot and the neighborhood puts on a carnival.  The games are all like 50 cents and the kids get prizes.  They also have food(hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream, nachos) also for like 50 cents.

The games are like this one where you shoot a water gun to knock ping pong balls off golf pegs!

The kids loved them all!

They had this cute little photo booth set up too!

After the carnival we all went home and took naps.  I woke up feeling pretty sick. I'd been fighting an infection all week and it picked the holiday to win.  So, Paul headed to the pool with the kids and I headed to the instacare for some antibiotics.  They had fun swimming but I was pretty miserable the rest of the night.  We had to work the next day so we weren't able to go out to fireworks so we did some in the driveway.  The kids love doing it.  One of these years we'll get them to a real firework show.  The 4th will be on Friday next year right.....we'll do it then!

Mother's Day 2013

I had a great day thanks to my awesome husband and kids.  Mother's day started yesterday for me when Paul kept the kids for 5 hours so I could go on a bike ride, my last long one before my century next week.  I made it 75 miles!  I think I'm ready for 100!

After a nap , Paul and I headed out for a date night while my dad watched the kids.  We went to the new Happy Sumo Cottonwood and to watch The Great Gatsby

This morning I got to sleep in(until 7). Paul made a yummy breakfast and I opened presents with the kids.
I got some things I need for biking; sunglasses, jersey tops, and a hat to cover up post ride helmet hair.

After breakfast we decided to head to the zoo for a bit.

The zoo has a Lego exhibit right now
