School Picture Day

The kids had their pictures taken at daycare last week.  Colin did pretty good but Audrey wasn't having it.  We didn't opt to buy the images but wanted to keep a record of them.  Here's their shots.  

Audrey turns 2!

Last week was Audrey's birthday.  Her actual birthday was on Thursday so we took off of work to spend the day with her.  We had plans to get her pictures taken but we got rained out.  We ended up taking them to see the Lorax instead.  

They didn't really like watching the movie.  The previews were too long, we should have gone after they were done.  And, they thought the theater was too loud.  Audrey kept saying "Loud, go home." So we didn't stay for the whole thing.

We gave Audrey one of her presents on her actual birthday. She got this dollhouse.  

On Saturday we had her actual birthday party.   Here we are making her cupcakes.

We opened this movie early so they could watch it while we were cooking dinner. We had salmon, kale salad, and "crash" potatoes.

Easter Weekend

On Friday night we went to the Good Friday service at church.   After church we made some masks.

Saturday morning we took the kids to the bounce house.  The love it there.  Audrey has no fear of anything and tries her best to keep up with her big brother.

We went home for lunch and nap and then headed out to the park.

Saturday night we colored Easter eggs.

Sunday morning was Easter. We got up and found baskets and eggs before going to church. This is a long video, but it's the kids doing their egg hunt and finding their baskets.  

After church, we headed to the grocery store quickly

Then off to Tara and Ben's for Easter brunch.

Hunting for eggs in the back yard.  You could tell that Colin was the oldest and had lots of experience, we had to slow him down because he kept finding them all.

After brunch we came home and put the kids down for a late nap.  Billy and Courtney came over to visit and I went for my first mountain biking ride of the season with Tara and Ben.  

It was another great(but busy) weekend!

Promise Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday we had an Easter Egg Hunt put on by Promise.  It was really warm out but windy.  The kids had a great time. They loved looking for eggs and came home with a ton.  They were afraid of the Easter Bunny though.  They would get close enough to say hi and give him a high five but not actually sit with him for a picture.

After the hunt, we went over to the park to play for awhile. I can't believe how big they are getting and that they barely need my help for anything at the park anymore.  This park had a few things for older kids so Colin needed me to help him with some of that but they ran around and barely cared that I was there.
