The Crest

A few weeks ago I had decided I wanted to get out and ride the Crest one last time before the weather changed, I wanted to ride it with the fall colors. We had planned to go on a Saturday but then a storm was in the forcast. We decided to go on Wednesday instead to beat the storm. The storm ended up coming in early and we couldn't go. The mountains got 18 inches of snow and I thought our (high elevation) riding was over for the season. Well....it warmed up and the snow melted. We were able to get out again. Just got to the top of Puke Hill
Silver Lake in the background(where my dad was after he dropped us off)
Can you see the mud caked to my tires? The trail was pretty good for the most part. There was just about 1 mile around the spine that was pretty muddy. That part was really tough to get through. I took a bad fall , slipping in the mud and falling flat on my back into a pile of snow.
Once we got down into Millcreek the colors were so pretty.
It was a good ride. It was pretty cold at times(especially riding down the road in Millcreek) and the snow and mud made it tough at times. However, I'm glad we were able to get out for one last high ride this season.

Cornbelly's 2011

On Saturday we headed back to Thanksgiving Point for the Cornbelly's Fall festivities they put on. We went last year http://cquartet.blogspot.com/2010/10/pumpkin-patch.html and the kids had SO much fun, we just had to do it again. We took our stroller but when we saw these wagons we knew the kids would prefer this means of transportation
They had these wooden structures ALL OVER the place. Many of them had slides. The kids had so much fun on them
A bouncy horse
The kids had fun in the dress up room
The "Cow Train". Audrey wanted to ride by herself and Colin started crying until I got in with him.
This year's picture in the bus
They had hay mazes and corn mazes
Playing in the corn
The animals sang "old McDonald"
Us watching the performance
Tunnels
Climbing haystacks
Bouncy Houses
Climbing up the rope ladder to more slides. Have I mentioned yet that Audrey is fearless?
You can even hear the surprise in the voice of the guy next to us that she's going alone(this was her 4th or 5th time down this one) Bouncy Pillows
Audrey enjoyed it, but spent most of her time playing in the dirt instead
Audrey loved these swings
Trying to get some pictures in the pumpkins but by now we had been there almost 4 hours and it was way past nap time. They weren't having it.
After dinner on Saturday, we went over to Tara and Ben's to pick some apples
