Tahoe 2012: Part 4...the rest of the trip

On our last day in Tahoe, Paul and I went mountain biking at Northstar.  Jen and Jason kept the kids for us for a few hours and then met us up there.

Pics of us riding that Jen took from the gondola

We spent some time in the village and had gelato

On the gondola

Lunch!

We had a lot of fun just hanging out at the house too.  These cousins love playing together.

Playing video games

Riding bikes, Colin really got the  hang of his balance bike

Another hike, across the street from our development

I liked this tree

We had a lot of fun going to the pool too.  There was a swing set at the pool.

Tahoe 2012: Part 3: Squaw Valley Hiking

Grandpa and Sheri had to leave from the hike to head to the airport.  Colin was very sad to see him go.

He yelled "I love you" to him like 20 times as he was hiking away.

The pine cones in Tahoe are huge!

After hiking, we walked around the village.  The kids got to go on these bungee trampolines and really liked it.

After Squaw, we headed to breakfast at Firesign.  It was AWESOME!  I can't wait to go back. It will be my first stop next time we go back.

Tahoe 2012: Part 2; Rafting

On Monday morning we all went out on a rafting trip down the Truckee River.  The trip goes for 5 miles.  You have paddles but you mostly just float with the current.  The water is crystal clear, cool, but not freezing.  There were enough rapids to make it fun for the kids and fun spots to stop and swim and have lunch.

Heading out

The kids loved watching the ducks. The ducks hoped we had food for them

We switched up boats a lot

Tahoe 2012: Part 1

We have been talking about going to Tahoe with Paul's family for a couple years now but have had a hard time making it fit into everyone's schedule.  This year we finally made it work.  Everyone had SO much fun, we hope to do it many more years.

Packing! The kids wanted to ride in the roof rack

The car ride.  We put together a bunch of fun things to do, movies, games and planned the trip so the kids would sleep a good part of it.  It went really well.

When we got to Tahoe we met up with Jim and Sheri for some pool time and lunch before we could get into our house.

Fun after dinner the first night

We had a lot of fun at the beach. The development we stayed at had a private beach.  The water was freezing, of course, but the kids still loved playing on the shore and some in the water

Audrey loved playing in the sand

Playing in the waves

See Audrey out there?
