Mountain Biking at Snowbird

Snowbird is obviously a pretty special place to us.  We got engaged there....we got married there(10 years ago in a few weeks!!).  Paul worked there, we had our first season passes there, our kids are learning to ski there. We've celebrated many holidays there, we love their concerts, and we love Oktoberfest.  We are so excited to add mountain biking to one of the things we love doing at Snowbird.  They have a loop trail at the base that we're enjoying; it's got some good climbs, some fast downhill parts and some technical parts to make it challenging.  They recently just opened a Big Mountain trail that is 7.5 miles downhill from the top of the tram.  We were really excited and went up for the first day it opened.

We(mostly Paul) took a lot of pictures to document our first ride.  It was SOOOO pretty!

Lake Tahoe 2013

We had a ton of fun again this year in Lake Tahoe with the cousins!

Being silly

We got a different house this year. It was sooo nice. This is a picture from the deck.

Playing in the jetted tub

Making Tie Dye shirts with Sheri

Headed out for a hike

Hiking:all the kids have their camelback backpacks

Modeling the tie dye shirts

Dancing!

They loved when the ice cream truck came

Paul and I got out for a bike ride together

The kids did so much biking during the week. Some on the street in front of the house....

Some was out on the mountain bike trails

Audrey learned to ride a bike without training wheels this week!

The beach!

We went bowling too!

Paddle boarding. This was a lot of fun, relaxing.

River rafting!

The kids had fun floating down the river....(sorry for weird camera angles)

I think that Audrey and Tyler are going to go touring together.  He jumped right up to sing with the entertainment at the restaurant and Audrey was right there dancing along.

Balloons and Bikers

One week this summer Paul told me there was a balloon festival going on.  He wanted to get up early and take the kids to the morning take off....before work on a Friday. I told him he was crazy, that was too much to take on during the week, and I forgot about it.  Until....Paul sent me some of these pics on my cell phone.  He had gotten the kids up and out the door to get to this before he had to be at work.

One of the guys offered to let the kids in the basket and then took off about 5 feet in the air. They loved it.  Audrey wanted to "blast off" and she wants to go up high in a "purple one next time".

We were really excited for the Tour of Utah coming back to town.  We were busy on Friday night so we made plans to cheer them on Saturday and Sunday.  This is Saturday as they made their way down Big Cottonwood and then up Little for a finish at Snowbird.

The finish of the whole event was in Park City on Sunday.  We went up for the festivities.  Paul and the kids were able to see them start the day(I was doing some biking myself) and then they colored the finish line.

It was so much fun cheering on the bikers at the finish line.  The atmosphere was full of so much energy.
