The kids love the movie Despicable Me, and the second one. In the first movie Gru wins a stuffed unicorn for one of the little girls at a carnival. The game was rigged so no-one could win, so Gru blows up the whole game to get the prize for her. The girl is so excited when she gets it and a famous line from the movie is "it's so fluffy I could die". Here's Audrey telling the story of the scene.

Lake Tahoe 2013
We had a ton of fun again this year in Lake Tahoe with the cousins!
Being silly
We got a different house this year. It was sooo nice. This is a picture from the deck.
Playing in the jetted tub
Making Tie Dye shirts with Sheri
Headed out for a hike
Hiking:all the kids have their camelback backpacks
Modeling the tie dye shirts
Dancing!
They loved when the ice cream truck came
Paul and I got out for a bike ride together
The kids did so much biking during the week. Some on the street in front of the house....
Some was out on the mountain bike trails
Audrey learned to ride a bike without training wheels this week!
The beach!
Putt Putt
We went bowling too!
Paddle boarding. This was a lot of fun, relaxing.
River rafting!
The kids had fun floating down the river....(sorry for weird camera angles)
I think that Audrey and Tyler are going to go touring together. He jumped right up to sing with the entertainment at the restaurant and Audrey was right there dancing along.

Fall Soccer
We signed the kids up, last minute, for fall soccer. We weren't sure we wanted to take on the commitment but then decided we'd do it. We had a new coach who was really good, and one of the girls from our summer team was also on the team. It was a lot of fun. Colin did really well, Audrey didn't really want to pay very much this season though.
An early season game when Grandpa was here to cheer them on. The score was 9-2, they won. Colin scored 6 goals and Audrey scored 2 this game. This was one of the only games she really played though.
Warming up before the game
Love her outfit? Fall soccer weather is a little different than summer soccer was.
Colin Scoring a goal
Trophies! (a little bright out though)
This is a picture of a picture but was their "official" picture of the season. The coach had them wear blue on picture day because he's a BYU fan :O( haha. I like this picture though, it's cute of them.
Colin had a really good season this fall. He was definitely the star player of the team, although a few other kids did really well as the season went on. He has really taken a liking to playing defense. If the other team gets a break away with the ball he immediately runs to their goal to protect it and is really good at getting the ball away.

Weekend Without Daddy
This past weekend Paul headed to Michigan with his brothers for a football game. This meant I was going to be home with the kids myself all weekend. Even though Paul has been away from the kids before, it had always happened when someone else was here....his mom, my dad, etc. I was a little nervous about the weekend at first. Then I got excited about it. I made sure I didn't have anything scheduled other than having fun with the kids....and we definitely did that.
On Friday when we got home, Colin's birthday present from Uncle Billy was waiting on the doorstep. He was soooo excited! "Mom, I said pizza when you took this because the turtles like pizza"
We went to Home Depot at 9am on the dot on Saturday. It was outside for fire safety awareness. They were giving out lego sets and we wanted to make sure to get one so we went bright and early before soccer.
This little truck "Freddie" was so cute. It was remote control so it drove around to the kids. There was also a girl talking with a microphone so the kids thought the truck was talking to them. They loved it, but were a tad afraid of it too.
Soccer game. Audrey is out there in the pink pants. She hasn't been that into it this season. She only played a total of 3 plays this week.
After nap, we went out to dinner and then to the park.
Maybe I shouldn't have told her she could run as far as she wanted.
Pictures with Mommy
After the park we headed out for ice cream
On Sunday I decided to take the kids out to a movie. We went to the Dollar Theater to watch Turbo. It was fun. Colin was so exited. At the end of the movie Turbo is competing in a race. Colin was yelling at the top of his lungs "Go Turbo!! You can do it, Go Turbo, win the race.."
On top of all that; we built 3 lego sets, bought groceries, I did laundry and ironing, made a yummy dinner on Sunday, got the kids their showers, and worked out each day. I was proud of myself for being able to accomplish some things but still have a lot of quality time and fun with the kids too. I don't think I'll be as intimidated the next time Paul decides to leave town.
