Halloween 2012

Paul took the kids to the grocery store and bought huge pumpkins a couple of weeks ago.  We finally got around to carving them the night before halloween.  The pumkins were too big and our designs too difficult.  The kids had fun and they turned out okay but next year I say we stick to little pumpkins and just smiley face designs.

We got up early on halloween to get ready for daycare.
Colin picked out his Spiderman costume at Costco a couple of months ago.  I had a hard time deciding on Audrey's costume since she's not quite at the age where she can pick it herself but yet she's stubborn and would refuse to wear something if I couldn't convince her she wanted to.  She really likes princesses and dresses she can twirl in. I thought we were going to do a princess but then I saw this Audrey Hepburn idea online.  I found someone to make me the dress on Etsy and she looked adorable.  I loved it.

Yes, she is eating her waffle but it's the best picture I have of her whole dress

We did 80s theme at work

I picked the kids up from daycare at 130 and took them to Paul's work for their trick or treating.
It was beautiful, sunny and a high of 76!

This is the only picture I have of him with his mask down.  He kept it up most the day.

Trick or treating in the neighborhood.  I really like our neighborhood on halloween.  There are tons of little kids and everyone is out.  We get to see a bunch of friends and it just feels like a big party on the street.

Did I  mention it was 76?!  I had tights and a sweater for her but she didn't even need them.  When we were finished trick or treating and on our way home she started being cold and we put her sweater on.

Love them! They had so much fun.  They got a ton of candy and then we traded it all in for a toy.  I asked Colin if he thought that was a good idea and he said "I liked my candy but I love my toy more than my candy"
